Job description

Next Level Solutions Junior QA’s are responsible for planning, scoping, and executing tests of new and existing features across multiple projects. These tests include design review, API testing, functional validation, error handling, load testing, network testing, server requests validations, and performance testing, as well as creating automated tests.

Next Level Solutions Junior QA is primarily focused on the web component of our product suites. Your primary role includes keeping the test plan updated, maintaining automated test cases and verifying new features/bug fixes. The ability to communicate effectively with the business, technical, and overall project team is a must. Other responsibilities include assisting with server-side testing, adding new automation case to the suite, and performing testing on data to ensure data quality.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with developers for the purposes of understanding design goals as well as providing appropriate feedback in the form of bug reports.
  • Self-motivated team player who thrives in an intellectually vibrant environment and loves researching new technologies.
  • Excellent understanding of risk with the ability to provide appropriate feedback regarding bug priorities.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines. You know how to break complex projects and tasks down to manageable sub-features.
  • Additional “nice to haves”
  • Existing knowledge of web based testing tools
  • Experience working in different methodologies
  • Experience working with distributed source control systems such as Git or TSV
  • Familiarity with different web browsers

Qualifications:

  • BS in an area of technology, business, or insurance (or relevant experience)
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good communication/writing skills
  • Thorough documentation experience
